Your Canadian Log Home and Cabin Restoration Partner
At Frontier, we’ve built our reputation as a trusted leader in log home restoration with over two decades of hands-on experience serving clients across Canada and the United States. Our work spans the repair, restoration, refinishing, and long-term protection of log homes, cabins, resorts, lodges, and timber structures in a wide range of climates and environments.
From the Pacific coast of British Columbia to the open prairies of Saskatchewan, north into the Northwest Territories, and throughout Western Canada, we understand how dramatically environmental conditions can impact wood structures. Each region presents its own challenges—coastal moisture, prairie wind exposure, heavy mountain snow loads, freeze-thaw cycles, and intense UV radiation—all of which require a tailored restoration strategy.
Our mission is consistent no matter the province: to deliver a streamlined, efficient, and professional restoration process for your log home. We customize our approach based on your location, your structure, and the specific environmental pressures your home faces. Whether you own a log cabin, panabode, cedar siding home, chalet, or large timber lodge, we ensure your property receives specialized care designed for long-term durability.
Our experienced team is committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and clear communication at every stage of the project. From the initial consultation and assessment through surface preparation, repairs, staining, chinking, and final protection, we guide you step by step. We prioritize transparency, realistic timelines, and regular updates so you always know what to expect.
Because we travel extensively and bring our equipment directly to each job site, location is never a limitation. Our team is prepared to work in remote mountain communities, rural acreages, lakeside properties, and northern regions. We understand the logistics involved in nationwide service and plan accordingly to ensure efficiency and minimal disruption.
More than a contractor, Frontier is a long-term partner in protecting and preserving your investment. Wherever your Canadian log home is located—deep in the Rockies, across the prairie landscape, along coastal regions, or in northern territories—we are ready to bring our expertise to your doorstep.

Frequently Asked Questions?
How many years experience do you have restoring log home in Canada?
Since 2000, we have restored, refurbished and protected hundreds of log and timber home structures across the US and Canada, in just about every setting imaginable. We restore between thirty to forty log structures every year. As a result of this experience and knowledge, we are able to provide our clients with an honest, easy and straight forward experience.
How do I know if my log house needs to be restored?
We look at the wood species, age and condition of the logs for signs of weather and UV damage, the condition of the existing stain, as well as possible mold, mildew or rotting wood. Once a thorough review of the structure is completed, we will provide you with our unbiased, professional opinion, as to how to best protect your home as cost effectively as possible.
How much does it cost to restore a log home or cabin in Canada?
There is no simple answer. It will depend on the state of the existing logs and wood, the age and condition of the logs, the extent of any weather or UV damage as well as possible mold, mildew or rotting wood. We provide log home restoration estimates free of charge. In many cases this can be done by submitting high quality photos of the building or structure.
